Virginia, I love all three of your works of art! I love the bluebird set against the tan cutout. It really makes the bird stand out with its soft coloring. And your soft coloring leads to your other projects! You have such a light touch with color. The oval wreath is just awash with softness. I love the frame. (That's my favorite but maybe because your grand niece who is such a cutie!) Your work is just gorgeous!

More Vellum Flowers!

Happy Saturday, friends!
Hope you are enjoying a great day so far...

happy birthday

I am popping in with another stamp and die combo.
Stunning Cosmo now has a matching die (Altenew shop)!

Stunning Cosmo Stamp/Die Combo

I was in the mood for alcohol inks and took out some vellum and started inking...
Once I created my own vellum paper, I embossed the images and die cut a few.

happy birthday-001

The stems weren't stamped or embossed. I only used the dies to cut them out.
I love the natural and rustic look.

happy birthday

Stamp Focus-Sewn with Love

Hello friends!

Photo-heavy Post

First, I want to mention that Altenew is releasing

 Sunlit Flower Card Making Kit.
 You can purchase it here.

It is my turn to share a Stamp Focus with you over Altenew.
Stamp Focus basically features a specific stamp set. In this feature, the card designer shows off the same stamp set in at least 3 different creative ways. I REALLY love doing this kind of feature.
Sewn with Love (Altenew Shop)
Sewn with Love Stamp (Simon Says Stamp) and Die (Simon Says Stamp)

I am listing the key features in each card for easy reference. Here we go!

Card #1 Sending lots of love

1. Solid stamps are the best for testing out the old and new inks.
2. The crossed-stitched hearts may look intricate and yet, they are easy to cut out as the edges are all in straight lines.
3. Pop some of the hearts up with foam tape for added dimensions and interest.
4. Inks used here (from left to right): Turquoise, Minty Mint, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Pinkalicious, Sunkissed and Cool Summer Night Oval Set.

Arranging these hearts was fun to do!

Card #2 Because You Are Extra Special

1. This card combines stamping with the Altenew Design Paper from Reflection 6"x6" Paper Pad.
2. Follow the pattern of the paper and stamp. The polka dots on the pattern paper served as my guide when stamping the hearts.
3. Embellish the design with Vellum Translucent Paper and sequins.
4. Embossing the sentiment with Antique Gold really dresses up a card.
5. Do not be intimidated by using pattern paper. The color palette are great source of inspiration, too!

Stamping on pattern paper is really easy and fun!

Simple yet chic and stylish!!?

Card #3 I {heart} You
1. Parchment Cardstock is perfect for stamping, especially with darker inks such as Tea Party Oval Set and Green Meadows Oval Set.
2. Follow the die and trace the outer edge with a white jell pen.
3. The white-embossed sentiment (in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) helps bring out the contrast of colors

Tracing the edges is an effective way to highlight the image.

Card #4 Sending Warm Hugs

1. Altenew Inks are formulated for color-layering. Simply follow the guide (from the package) and you can create this intricate look without any problems.
2. The Sewn with Love Die Set serves as a great guide for stamping. I did the die-cutting first and then I only needed to line up the stamps with the pin holes.
3. Get extra millage with the stamps by using the smaller stamps. The "ground" was inked in Rock Collection Oval Set and stamped with one of the petal stamps.

4. Use a Silver Gel Pen to trace the edges after stamping.
5. Embellish the corner with a small piece of cut out from Creative Edges: Lace Die
6. Pierce the pin holes and make a bow with silver thread.
7. Glue sequins for extra shine and pizzazz!
8. Altenew Cardstock offer many fabulous choices. Dark Gray Cardstock is one of them!

These are many creative things you can do with this stamp and die set.
I am hoping that you are still here.... this is a super long post!

Lastly, these are the 5 cards that I made with this stamp set.

Don't forget to leave me a comment over Altenew Blog.
As usual, you are eligible to win my monthly Altenew $15 Gift Card giveaway. The winner will be announced right here in this blog at the end of this month.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge #460

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the" It Must Be Love" Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is...

Add A Die Cut

We are using Penny Black products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some, we love to see them used :-)

For my project, I am using Love Note Thin Die and Bunny Love Thin Die.

The great things about dies is that you can easily change up the colors, style and design.

I had fun putting this design together with the two very different dies.
you +me

For the bunnies, I made the imprint with the die without reversing it to the positive side. you+me-001

I embellished with sequins and applied Glossy Accent on top of the heart.
It really is that easy! Who knew thee two dies Love Note Thin Die and Bunny Love Thin Die go so well together?

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
So now it's YOUR turn ! Happy Crafting !!
There are fabulous Give Aways and inspiration from fabulous designers on a daily basis over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog . If you haven't subscribed by email, you may want to do so you don't miss out.

Here are the TWO collections that we are showcasing today:
Elegant 3D Vignettes by Becca Feeken
 Flower Garden by Sharyn Sowell.

( products are linked for your easy reference/purchase)

For all of my projects, I am showcasing Flower Garden by Sharyn Sowell
collection. You MUST check them out as each one of them is amazing!

My first card features Birds on the Cherry Branch Die.

you are always in my heart

Isn't this birdie sweet?

you are always in my heart (2)
I love that the nest, the bird and leaves are all in one die.  As you can see, this die does all the TWEETING/talking! The sweet bird was painted with watercolor.

you are always from my heart

I used the negative part of this "Thinking of You" die to create a white overlay on kraft background. I stacked the dies and slightly offset the images to show off  the white.

you are always in my heart-001

My 2nd project features the intricate Floral Photo Frame Etched Die!
I die cut two frames and the top panel and that's it! It is SO easy to put together!

photo frame

I think this is such a GREAT one to use and you can make multiples easily! This cutie pie happens to be my niece's daughter!! 😍
photo frame (2)

I applied colors with Distress Oxide and added Rose Water Nuvo Dew Droplets.

My 3rd (and last project) features Dimensional Floral Panel Etched Die.

Happy day

I created my own paper with watercolor and die cut it once it's dry.

happy day-002

Since the die Dimensional Floral Panel Etched Die is so ornate and detailed, it is perfect for creating a wedding card!
happy day-001

I absolutely love how dreamy this looks!
